Join us this October for our annual conference - Reclaiming Identity: A Century of Resilience Since 1924. We will explore the profound impact of the Virginia Racial Integrity Act of 1924 and the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924. These pivotal laws, while contrasting in their intent—one enforcing racial segregation and the other granting citizenship to Indigenous Peoples—shaped the lives of many Tribal Citizens in complex ways. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear raw, firsthand accounts from those affected, shedding light on these critical chapters of U.S. history.

This event will be held at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, October 3-4, 2024 from 9 AM - 3 PM EST. Complimentary parking and lunch will be provided for each attendee.

This event will be held in person only, with no virtual attendance or live stream options available.

Please email Conference Committee Chairperson, Raven Adams (Raven.Adams@vtecinc.org), with additional questions and/or concerns.
